Turn on browser notifications for my backend on Typestate.
Web Push is on, through set_push.
Notify a person
Nothing to paste: Typestate holds what it needs.
Ready on Sandbox after the next deploy.
Your website or app
What it does for a business
- An action says "notify the signed-in person: 'Your class starts in 1 hour'"
- One person, many devices: each gets it, and a dead one never stops the others
- No keys to make: the platform holds them
Writes
What an action of your backend asks Web Push to do.
DoNotify a personSends a notice to every device the person registered. A person with no device is not an error.
| Parameter | Type | Needed | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|
to | text | yes | The person's account id. |
title | text | yes | The notice's title. |
body | text | yes | The notice's text. |
data | json | no | Anything the app reads when the notice is opened. |
What it answers, for example
{
"devices": 2,
"notification": "ntf_9e"
}What it cannot do yet
- A person must allow notifications in their browser first.
